What We Do

Food Assistance Program-

At Conyers Hope, we believe that access to healthy nutritious food is a basic human right; however, more often than not those rights are not exercised in low income or impoverished communities.

We have committed to responding to those rights through food distribution and support services.

Every Week, Conyers Hope staff and volunteers visit local hotels, housing developments, and boarding houses delivering hot meals and bags of groceries to individuals in need.

Through this collaborative effort and commitment Conyers Hope has adopted the following principles:

  • We value respect, compassion, and honesty in all interactions and activities
  • We value nutrition and encourage our participants to move toward self sufficiency and sustainable solutions
  • We value the wise use of all resources, creating new ways to improve our services and effectively utilizing community support that sustains our community contributions.

By adhering to our principles we can continue the support and expanse of our Food Assistance Program

Outreach Programs

Holiday Giveaway

Understanding that Holidays can be taxing no matter what your financial situation is, Conyers Hope tries to bridge the gap between stressful holidays and supplemental giving. Through collaborative efforts we are able to assist community families by giving them food, clothing and toys. We accept donations year around for our holiday giving.

Back to School Gymboree

Education is important to us! It is imperative that students have the necessary items to achieve success in school, and some of the most important items are school supplies. We join together with our supporters to provide basic back to school items for the children in the Rockdale County School system. It is our endeavor to provide support to the families so that their children can begin the school year in a happy, healthy manner. Donations are always accepted and appreciated.

Upcoming Programs

Ministry Housing- Housing stability is sadly an ever growing issue and contrary to popular believe all economically unstable people are not unemployed and uneducated ironically a large number of people who face economical instability  once served in the military, or were once gainfully employed. We need to provide solutions, we need to provide resources.

Conyers Hope will open its first ministry house in January 2017 to address the issue of housing instability! This home will allow low income individuals to achieve stable temporary housing in a safe and peaceful environment.

Conyers Hope anticipates opening another ministry house in the Spring of 2017.
